Another thing that irked me was how they made a point of letting us know how little time it took to write "Weathered" like it was some sort of benefit or something I should be impressed with. I write songs. I could write 11 songs in 3 weeks, too. Would they be any good? Probably, but would they be better if I wrote them, stepped back, came back to them in a few more weeks and started fine-tuning them? Absolutely. Creed opted for the paycheck and against putting out the best record they could this time and the result is a bunch of low-key cookie-cutter "written to hit the charts in Rock AND Pop market" types of songs without the same level of emotion that was evident in the first two albums. I just hope that the next album is better, that's all... ----- Original Message ----- From: "Nanci" To: "The New Improved Less Lame List" Sent: Saturday, July 13, 2002 8:58 AM Subject: Re: [ Creed Discuss ] VA Beach Concert > As much as I'd like to say otherwise I really can't see them releasing any > of those 3.
